Principal's Message

Welcome to Marina Early Education Center (EEC). I am honored to lead a diverse school community with enthusiastic young learners, devoted parents, and a dedicated team. I have worked in the Los Angeles Unified School District for nearly three decades in various capacities, supporting students from PreK through 12th grade, teachers, and district leaders. However, my current experience as the Principal at Marina EEC has been the most rewarding and heartfelt. The eagerness to learn and inquisitiveness of our youngest scholars motivate me to ensure that Marina EEC is an exemplary early childhood education program.

 

By working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and attending professional development to build professional capacity, we design quality instruction to maximize student engagement. We implement The Creative Curriculum, a research-based preschool instructional program, to plan daily routines that include multiple experiences in language and literacy, mathematics, science, history, art, technology, and social-emotional development. Our program model reflects learning through play, small-group and large-group direct instruction, and takes place in both indoor and outdoor settings. Our Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom is an exciting world of discovery through gardening, building, wheeling, climbing, dramatic play, music, visual art, sand, and water play.
